How the Farmers’ Market Works
Posted on: June 6, 2011 5:03 pm in the News category

To all Farmers’ Market Vendors and Vendors to be:

We are pleased to announce that our market is off to a great start.

We have a new fee schedule this year.  $80.00 for the entire 23 week season with a guaranteed season table place on the park and a membership in The Bountiful Alliance.  All who sign up now and pay in full for the season and attend every market will be getting the weekly rate of less than $4.00!!!   Restrictions are simple, all items for sale must by grown or made by the vendor in Sierra County.  Vendors, who are not able to commit to the full season, may pay $8.00 per Saturday, as needed.

The City of T or C is graciously allowing us to use the park for only a deposit.  Our restrictions are no vehicles on the park during selling hours, and that we leave the park area clean and undamaged.  Thank you City of T or C.

We are purchasing our slip and fall insurance under their insurance policy through the New Mexico Farmers’ Market Association.  Product insurance is the responsibility of the vendor as in all markets.

Market setup is between 7:30 and 8:30.  All vehicles must be off the park by 8:30 at the ringing of the bell for the start of market.  Market ends at 11:30.

There will be live music on the podium, coffee, baked goods and lots of fresh produce and eggs.  Come for a morning of good food, entertainment and meeting of friends.
